Bio

전한종 교수는 한양대학교 건축공학과를 졸업하고 동 대학원에서 석사 과정을 마쳤다. 호주의 시드니 대학교에서 존 지로 교수의 지도하에 박사 과정을 마쳤으며, 현재 ADCC(Architectural Design Computing Centre) Lab의 수장으로서 컴퓨터를 디자인 미디어로 이용하여 디자인 연구방법론 및 인지심리학을 바탕으로 하는 건축 디자인 과학 분야에 대해 연구해 오고 있다.

수행중인 대표 연구로는 'BIM기반 설계 프로세스 및 지침서 개발에 대한 연구', 'BIM기반 친환경 인증 및 설계 프로세스 연구', '비정형건축물의 형태 생성에 대한 방법 및 이론에 관한 연구', '한옥 건축의 정보화' 등이 있다.

“Design and Computation” is Prof. Jun’s major research interest. Under the guidance of Professor John S. Gero of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning, at University of Sydney, Australia, he has developed deep understandings on improving architectural practices with computational technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM). After joining the faculty of Hanyang University in 1998, Prof. Jun pursued his vision of design computation in research and education. He opened Architectural Design Computing Centre and energetically promoted the use of BIM to architecture field practitioners.
