지역의 건축·도시를 관찰하고 이를 재해석 함으로써 지역적 특징을 반영한 건축 디자인과 실무에 중심을 둔 연구 활동을 지향한다. 건축공간의 본질적 요소에서부터 구축적, 물리적 측면에 이르기까지의 다양한 디자인 방법을 연구하고 이를 서로 다른 성격과 스케일의 공간에 적용하면서 다양한 프로젝트의 실제 작업과 다채로운 실무 연계 연구도 수행한다.

The local architecture design lab pursues the innovative architecture design representing the local characteristic. The lab is constantly observing and reinterpreting the local architecture and urban space to find out the regional identity. The scope of the research encompasses diverse types and scales from the fundamental elements of the space to the tectonic of the building.
